We are so glad that you have taken time out of your busy life to worship with us today. While we worship here, some of our teens and leaders are away at camp. While they enjoy a time of worship out in the forest, we will be celebrating here at the church.

As part of our worship today, we will be considering the subject of sharing our faith or witnessing. We all struggle at times in this area. Most Christians know that they should share their faith. Jesus clearly said in Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

However, rather than feeling powerful, many believers feel fearful. Some people fear failure, “I won’t say the right thing.” While others fear rejection from the other person – perhaps a coworker or friend. Many fear starting a spiritual conversation wondering, “How do I even begin a conversation about spiritual matters?” Finally, other Christians feel like they don’t know how to share the gospel clearly.

Today we will be sharing the tools you need to share your faith confidently. Rather than letting fear control you, you can experience the Lord using you to reach out to those around you who do not know Him. You too can share in the joy of leading others into a personal relationship with Christ.
